520 _aThis paper examines the clinical case of a woman who had suffered a burnout at work, reawakening the painful memory of fertility treatment she had previously undergone, and allowing us to examine the strange proximity thereby unveiled between hyperactivity and infertility. Both contexts involve a certain crushing of subjectivity, begging the question of the commitment of the body in the etiological equation and in the work accomplished by thought when faced with the enigma of failure.
