Elle explique les difficultés qu’elle a rencontrées avant d’obtenir un diagnostic. La scolarisation de Koren à l’école élémentaire et son évolution sont présentées à travers les rapports des différents professionnels consultés. Il bénéficiera d’un traitement médicamenteux à la Ritaline qui lui permettra d’améliorer ses capacités d’attention. Aujourd’hui, alors qu’il a 14 ans, il est en 3e de collège et son hyperactivité a diminué. Ses résultats scolaires sont satisfaisants et cette réussite, il semble la devoir à sa mère qui s’est beaucoup impliquée dans l’accompagnement de sa scolarité. Il se prépare à passer son brevet des collèges : un parcours exemplaire donc, qui montre que, si le suivi est adapté, ces enfants peuvent s’en sortir.

The author of this article is the mother of three atypical boys, the eldest of which, Koren, was diagnosed with ADHD. After presenting Koren’s two brothers, and then the story of Koren’s education starting with nursery school, she explains the difficulties that she met before obtaining a diagnosis.
