L'article aborde la question de la souffrance des usagers des services mutual~istes à partir de leur propre parole recueillie dans le cade d'une recherche-action effectuée par les Mutualités Chrétiennes. Le texte se penche par ailleurs sur les formes du malaise identitaire des travailleurs sociaux face à la finalité du travail social. Comment les travailleurs sociaux peuvent-ils s'allier davantage aux usagers malades dans leur dur travail d'exister ?
