N2  - This article presents the perspectives of Communist and anarchist activists working in the social sector. They first converge toward a rejection of idealism, since social work is grounded in the inherent contradictions of class struggles. These contradictions could be overcome by practices aimed at emancipation at both the individual and global levels. But does overcoming the contradictions inherent to current social work imply surpassing the very concept of social work?; Cet article restitue les regards que portent des militant·e·s communistes ou anarchistes travaillant dans le social. Ceux-ci convergent d’abord vers un refus de l’idéalisme, le travail social étant fondé sur les contradictions inhérentes aux luttes de classes. Ces contradictions pourraient être dépassées par des pratiques visant l’émancipation aux niveaux individuel et global. Mais dépasser les contradictions propres au travail social actuel implique-t-il de dépasser le travail social lui-même ?
