<br/><br/> This article provides an overview of the main features of secularism in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. It attempts to overcome misunderstandings about a supposedly “Anglo-American” viewpoint. The article highlights the importance of neutrality and impartiality in professional discourse and discusses the diversity of professional approaches and practices about subjects that raise the question of relations between religion and social work.
