<br/><br/> The West has not proved capable of managing the post-USSR era, to the extent that modern Russia is rejecting a more peaceful relationship with the Western World, a position all the more significant given that the West appears to be questioning the very foundations of its own civilisation. There is an urgent need for Western leaders to put an end to this and to find new channels for dialogue with Moscow.
