This text stands at a crossroads. It is an account of Bernard Salignon’s academic career, professor emeritus of aesthetics and psychoanalysis. Bernard Salignon examines the institutional approach to children and adolescents with autism. Noting that creative practice opens up a space within the shelter that these young people build and inhabit, the author asks what it is about the space of artistic creativity that enables some of them to safely open themselves up. Bernard Salignon shows that perhaps this is a way for these young people to show that sharing is not diluted in the impossible community.
