The Importance of Following Up with Psychiatric Patients: Post-Treatment Suicide Attempts
- 2008.

The evolution of patients—particularly teenagers who attempted suicide—having been treated in psychiatric units is a very important question for psychiatrists. However, assessing this evolution faces many methodological difficulties, and few works have been published on this subject. This paper presents a study of teenagers who attempted suicide 15 years after their first hospitalization. This paper also discusses the challenges to carrying out retrospective studies on the outcome of psychiatric treatment.
