Developmental psychology has been growing since the mid-20th century. Genetics, epistemology, cognitive sciences, clinical psychology, and social psychology have provided specific models and theories to developmental psychologists. This paper summarizes the main theories and applications of developmental psychology. Through the clinical, cognitive, or social approaches, the authors of this paper have been developing methods and tools for their praxis with babies and young children, leading to an integrative conception of development.
