<br/><br/> The question of the law applicable to personnel assigned to the Cape Ann FSRU invites us to consider the major trends affecting maritime labor law. While the law of the flag remains key when it comes to laying down the conditions relating to crews, its role has been considerably weakened by the quest to make flags more attractive, which has resulted in the development of international registers with differentiated social conditions. The Cape Ann is no exception to these trends, being registered in the French international register, which means various social conditions are applicable to its crew.
