N2  - Marine’ Troops’ are main/y composed of combat units in which cohesion between members is considered necessary to accomplish missions. Thus, ritualized activities are organized to reinforce it. They can have different shapes as meals (“corp meal”, “cohesion meal”, “colo breakfast”) which are structured by a specific organization. In these meals, red wine is consumed according to prescriptions, in particular in the “dust ritual”. This drink represents the naval origins of the arm and depicts a sort of identity claim, especially in the song “Les Biffins”. The research showed that wine consumption seems to be significant for the virility of the group, though the symbolic probation it constitutes, and for the links between members of a main group, though the social merger that is induced by collegial consumption in the “dust ritual”. Drink red wine in these circumstances is, thus, much more than Just a desire of drinking this beverage. This action has a symbolic and ritual value for the group that do it
