N2  - Gout and rheumatoid arthritis are two distinct types of inflammatory arthritis with different clinical, biological and radiological features. However, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between the two conditions, which may also coexist in the same patient. The aim of this article is to highlight this difficulty in order to avoid diagnostic delays. The association of rheumatoid arthritis and gout is rarely reported. We report two clinical cases illustrating this association in order to avoid any diagnostic delay; La goutte et la polyarthrite rhumatoïde sont deux types distincts d’arthrite inflammatoire, présentant des caractéristiques cliniques, biologiques et radiologiques différentes. Il est cependant parfois difficile de distinguer entre les deux affections, qui peuvent par ailleurs coexister chez le même patient. Le but de cet article est de montrer cette difficulté afin d’éviter tout retard diagnostique. L’association de polyarthrite rhumatoïde et de goutte est rarement rapportée ; nous décrivons deux cas cliniques de cette association
