Il met en avant les objectifs et buts de l’espace-rencontre et souligne comment un psychologue peut y intervenir en étroite relation avec l’équipe de travailleurs sociaux. Il propose des stratégies et pose les doutes que ce genre d’intervention pose parfois, notamment lorsque les enfants refusent de voir l’autre parent.

Meeting places for parents and children have existed for some twenty years in France. Since they do not all operate in the same way, this article focuses on particular case to show how, through its organizational set-up, it answers to specific and ever more complex problems. It states the unit’s objectives and goals and stresses how a psychologist can intervene in close cooperation with the team of social workers. It suggests strategies but also expresses reservations as to the efficacy of this kind of intervention, especially when the children refuse to see the other parent.
