RésuméLe livre des Lamentations a fait l’objet de plusieurs commentaires du xiie au xive siècle. Tout en donnant un aperçu de cette riche tradition exégétique, l’article présente l’édition d’un commentaire des Lamentations par Guillaume d’Alton, un Dominicain anglais qui a été le successeur de Thomas d’Aquin à Paris en 1259.

The book of Lamentations was the subject of a commentatorial tradition involving a very large number of the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth centuries’ most significant biblical exegetes. As well as an overview of this tradition, this paper presents the edition of a Lamentations commentary by William of Alton, an English Dominican who succeeded Thomas Aquinas as regent master at Paris in 1259.
