Le 4e évangile permet de regarder l’Église comme communauté de mémoire. L’A. relève quelques éléments de la mémoire croyante dans le texte johannique avant de déployer deux outils d’analyse (les théories de la Social Memory et les réflexions de Joseph Ratzinger sur la tradition) pour comprendre comment l’acte de mémoire se découvre comme tradition, constitutive de la communauté ecclésiale.

The fourth gospel allows us to look at the Church as a community of memory. The author picks out several elements from the believing memory in the Johannine text before laying out two tools for analysis (the theories of Social Memory and the reflections of Joseph Ratzinger on tradition) in order to understand how the act of memory is revealed as tradition, constitutive of the ecclesial community.
