Cette « déclaration d’indépendance de la Padanie » fonctionne comme une médecine magique : c’est essentiellement une régénération politique et nationale.

The secession of Padania. An anthropology of the revival of a national myth. If the Pô human chain was a positive failure, its huge mediatisation had a rather paradoxical effect, since by transgressing the principle of national unity on a tragi-comic tone the Northern league’s mercurial leader forestalled the tensions which were troubling North-East Italy, before reviving the national myth by the crisis. This declaration of independence of Padania worked in fact like a magical therapy; it was merely a political and national regeneration.
