The impact of domestic violence on women’s psychological health

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2022. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This article presents the results of a study of women who came to an anti-violence center in Italy during the Covid-19 pandemic. They were asked about the existence of symptoms of psychological distress, their living conditions, and violence. All were experiencing various forms of violence from a partner or ex-partner. The intensity of the violence as well its recent evolution (increase or decrease) were related to the frequency of symptoms. These results confirm the close, but not always sufficiently recognized, relationship between violence and women’s health.
