Résumé Soins palliatifs et accompagnement des personnes en fin de vie: enquête sur le système sanitaire jurassien – Cette étude réalisée auprès des professionnels de la santé dresse un inventaire des pratiques et des besoins dans le canton du Jura (Suisse). On constate une dissémination des ressources spécialisées dans de nombreuses institutions et services du canton, un manque de coordination et des déperditions d’énergie notables ainsi que des lacunes importantes en matière de formation spécialisée. Des améliorations sont à apporter aux pratiques portant sur la gestion de la douleur et des symptômes spécifiques, identifiées comme fondamentales pour l’exercice des soins. Plusieurs indicateurs montrent le besoin de recourir à des personnes-conseils dans les situations complexes et la nécessité de renforcer les collaborations interdisciplinaires.

Palliative care and accompaniment of end-of-life persons: survey of the Jura health system – This study, conduced in the framework of a health care plan in the Canton of Jura (Switzerland), aimed to derive an inventory of practices and necessities in palliative nursing. Fifty percent of the health care team workers participated with participants demonstrating a pronounced interest in palliative nursing. The growing importance of this complex and demanding domain is attributable to the ageing of the population. Specialised and disseminated resources can be found in numerous institutions in the Canton. However, one also finds a waste of energy due to poor coordination and a great lack of material for specialised education in this domain. One domain of practice requiring future development is the management of pain and its specific symptoms. Numerous indicators point to the necessity of using persons giving advice especially in complex situations. Also a fortification of interdisciplinary collaboration is deemed necessary.
