L’article présente une démarche d’observation sociale en prévention spécialisée. L’auteur, sociologue de formation et exerçant comme éducateur de rue en banlieue parisienne, croise les apports éducatifs d’une activité sportive dans un city stade du quartier, avec une méthodologie d’observation participante inspirée des sciences sociales. Une façon d’en apprendre beaucoup sur les pratiques culturelles et sociabilités des jeunes.

The article presents a methodology for social observation with regards to specialized prevention. The author, educated as a sociologist and working as a street educator in the Parisian suburbs, merges the educational gains of a sport activity in a city stadium of the district, with a methodology inspired by the social sciences. A means of learning a lot about the cultural practices and the sociabilities of the youth.
