La question principale est la place de la personne présentant un handicap dans le système actuel d’orientation et d’offre institutionnelle, en dehors du nombre de places et des pathologies. Il est nécessaire de repenser l’organisation territoriale du secteur médico-social et de proposer des solutions modulaires, plurielles et réversibles pour rendre la personne actrice de son parcours et de son orientation. Il s’agit de permettre à la personne présentant un handicap d’être véritablement un sujet et de promouvoir sa parole et ses capacités à évaluer ses besoins. Cela passe par une écoute adaptée de la part des professionnels, non pas basée sur les difficultés, mais sur les possibilités.

The main issue is the place of the person with a disability within the current orientation and institutional offer system, apart from the number of places and the pathologies. It is necesseray to rethink the territorial organisation of the medico-social sector, and to propose modular, plural and reversible solutions to allow the person to become the actor of their trajectory and orientation. It is about allowing the person with a disability to really be the subject and to promote their voice and their capacities to evaluate their needs. This calls for a tailored attention from the professionals, that would not be based on the difficulties but rather on the possibilities.
