A sultan on prime-time. A model of masculinity in Turkish TV series

Based on the concept of “relationality” intrinsic to the study of masculinities, a tripartite analysis of the first season proposes to study the characterization of women and antagonists of the main character, as well as the religious elements in the series. Our objective is to understand how these three elements contribute to the construction of the protagonist’s masculinity throught the first season of the show.
