The adventure of the SPP Psyné-Club initiated by a small group of analysts in training was launched in 2018. Since then, each month we have been able to meet with a guest who shares and transmits his or her clinical experience, research and questions in a convivial way by proposing to watch a film (documentary, fiction, interview or personal archive) together – based on both personal and collective experience –, followed by a discussion. We are aware of the importance of images, still and/or moving, as well as the place of poets (“precious allies”) in the conception of Freudian metapsychology. Psychoanalysis and cinema, which both emerged in 1885 with the same hope of exploring bodies and souls, share a language that is both common and specific, which we propose to bring into mutual dialogue by looking at the place of fiction in the patient’s narrative, but also that of creation in psychic functioning.
