“Narcissistic Fragility” : A Contemporary Clinical Approach
Type de matériel :
99
The concept of « narcissistic fragility », which has spread in current psychopathological terminology, does not refer to what the term should theoretically designate, namely psychotic pathologies and the precarity of their ego, but to a clinical practice in close connection with the object. Studying this clinical practice demonstrates the importance of the object of perception in these pathologies. This object of perception is studied in its relations with the object that emerged from the loss of object of need and the constitution of autoerotism. In analysing this « object of perception relationship », three clinical aspects appear: the clinical practice of confirmation, the clinical practice of reparation, and the clinical practice of verification, which seem to refer to more general tendencies and attitudes that characterise the contemporary world.
