Changes and job satisfaction in child protection: the case of family assistants

The article proposes an analysis of social work, particularly in child protection, based on a survey carried out in the form of a barometer among foster family. The aim is to have a better understanding of their working conditions and their quality of life at work. It is based on quantitative research carried out with 2680 foster family and more than 10,000 verbatims. Two perspectives are addressed. One concerns the sociological profile of foster family in terms of their well-being at work. The other deals with their working conditions and their quality of life at work. Are foster family happy in their job?
