When it comes to professional secrecy among health care professionals, the main questions relate to both knowledge of the legal framework and to the practical adjustments that are just as varied as work situations. Drawing on an action research study conducted by the Centre Ressources pour Intervenants auprès d’Auteurs de Violences Sexuelles (Criavs) (Resource Center for Professionals Working with Sex Offenders) and using the group analysis method, this paper outlines the different kinds of positioning strategies adopted with regard to the same reported child abuse situation, thus highlighting differing professional reasonings.
