Internship in private practice for psychiatry interns: The Rennes model

Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Since 2017, the Medical Faculty of Rennes has provided residents in psychiatry with the opportunity to undertake an internship in a private psychiatric practice. This internship, known as the “Rennes Model,” was built on the same foundation as the internship offered to residents in general medicine, with some adjustments due to the specificity of psychiatric practice. The aim of this article is to present this “Rennes Model” and its modalities and to discuss its initial results in order to consider the opening of similar internships in other medical faculties.
