Unconstrained care: Organizational policy in a mental health center integrated into the city
Type de matériel :
88
For the past forty years, the mental health centers in the towns of Ronchin, Faches-Thumesnil, Lesquin, Lezennes, Hellemmes, and Mons-en-Barœul have been involved in practices aimed at reducing constraint and developing outpatient care. The policy is based on the values of rehabilitation and promotion of experiential knowledge. The need for a reduction in constraint applies firstly to conditions of reception for hospitalization, where the goal is an absence of seclusion and restraint. This system, which is underpinned by a unit-specific organization, is part of an overall conception based on the community mental health model.
