The break-in of intimacy due to cancer and the way it makes the patient physically and mentally vulnerable forces him to resort to a caregiver, therefore interrogating the question of a possible otherness that could be accepted. What more or less peaceful unveiling can be granted to this caregiver, when cancer is already in itself the inner deconstruction by the Other, by the intruder in self?And how can the matter of distance and closeness offered to the vulnerable be thought, which could enable the space in the care relationship to lever up transitionality and psychic creativity for the patient?
