Comme toutes les histoires, celle-ci n’est ni tout à fait vraie, ni tout à fait fausse, afin que le lecteur puisse lui-même la réécrire à nouveau. C’est l’histoire d’un couple à travers l’histoire de leur analyse, ou peut-être l’inverse. Et c’est aussi, à travers la relation des deux – entendue comme « ce qui se relate » –, raconter une fois encore l’histoire mythique de l’œdipe et éclairer ainsi le travail de l’interprétation « afin que, le moment venu, l’interprétation ne se limite plus à énoncer des contenus, mais des rapports » (M’Uzan, 1994, p. 107).

MR AND MRS B., STORY OF A THERAPY AFTER FIFTY YEARS OF MARRIAGE In view of sharing with readers, in a few words, all the deep and rich clinical material sourced during her work-out with Mr and Mrs B, the author has elected to tell a story. As is the case for all stories, this one is neither exactly a true account, nor pure fiction... allowing the reader to rewrite the narrative at his or her convenience. This is the story of a couple that takes its root in the background of their (psycho) analysis and that, conversely perhaps, also drives the narrative to move once again toward the mythical story of Oedipus. In this regard, the whole point of this storytelling is to shed light on the work of interpretation, and in so doing, where appropriate, « push interpretation beyond content alone, and tackle relations » (de M’Uzan, 1994, p. 107).
