Through three clinical stories, the author describes the difficulties in developing a common thought to understand the behavioral disorders of elderly people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases and institutionalized in an Alzheimer’s unit. The alternation of the psychologist’s observations and the remarks made during multidisciplinary meetings make it possible to use the emotions brought to the fore through the patients’ disorders in the sense of a common way of understanding the behavioral expressions.
