La forme musicale propre à la musique techno, dans son rapport de proximité avec le réel, paraît susceptible de mobiliser la dimension de la voix archaïque – qui a participé à la genèse du devenir sujet-, voix qui, au sein du circuit de la pulsion invocante, se constitue en véritable appel à jouir au détriment du désir. À ce titre, elle n’est pas sans effet, justement, sur le(s) sujet(s) qui l’écoute(nt), à l’instar de Julien adolescent consommateur de musique et de fêtes techno. Une analyse des composantes du montage collectif de la rave, et de ses implications subjectives, nous permettra de démontrer l’existence d’un dispositif symboligène minimal nécessaire à la canalisation de la jouissance ainsi qu’à la tenue du rassemblement. Le DJ, figure originale et multiple du père, y dévoile là, l’invention d’un rapport au père et d’un réaménagement à la castration, auquel serait particulièrement réceptif l’adolescent en groupe ou isolé.

The specific form of techno music, as music, in its close relation with reality, seems able to mobilise the dimension of the archaic voice, as part of the emergence of the developing subject. This voice, within the realm of the conjuring/invocatory impulse, stands as a call to ecstasy, to the detriment of desire. In this way, it has an effect on the subjects who listen to it – the teenager Julien, for example who is a “consumer” of techno music and raves. By analysing the elements involved in the collective organisation of a rave party, and its subjective implications, we will be able to demonstrate the existence of a minimal symbol-creating structure, necessary both to channel this extasy as well as to the organising of this gathering. The DJ, an original and multiple father-image, represents an invention of the father-son relationship, and a readjustment of the concept of castration, to which the adolescent, in a group or alone, will be particularly receptive.
