The concept of addiction has recently been widely transformed and enlarged to include behavioral addictions, such as online gaming disorder. Addiction medicine in the digital era has faced new disorder emergence, new treatment seeking motives, and new treatment approaches. Specialists are required to assimilate these changes and become familiar with new terms, dealing with virtuality and reality in a creative way to help patients and relatives to deal with this new form of addiction.
