This article aims to question the political identity of a French region: Languedoc-Roussillon. It deals with twenty years of elections to see how it is difficult to identify one political behavior Languedoc, as it can vary from one area to another, from one election to the other. The uncertainty afflicting a languedocian political identity does not lead to consider as futile any attempt to include some regularity within the territorial landscape. Three analytical perspectives, taking into account the results of elections having taken place between 1988 and 2008, will give their own answer to the question. They explain how Languedoc-Roussillon political behavior differs from national trends.
