“Transnational” conspiracy and hate speech: the case of Cyprus and Italy

We examine in particular how hate speech foregrounds such transnational propaganda with for example the common topos “foreigners must be neutralized”, and how this topos is extended through metaphors (immigration – invasion – national genocide) and outrageous generalizations that are common to both corpora.
