Unlike the other Saharan regions, the Fezzan region in Libya constitutes a historical and symbolic centrality but also a geopolitical one. It is a centrality at the country level, but also at the level of the Sahara–Sahel region. Political and territorial recompositions in Fezzan and the Sahel are strongly linked and interact with each other. We propose to shed light on certain dimensions of conflicts in this region through Sahelian transnational networks.
