Through the case of the frozen man, at a given moment, the faceless man, I develop certain ideas and concepts drawn from my experience on the containing function within transference and the idea of the lived body. The frozen man becomes aware of his body at a particular moment of his thawing. In that case, feelings of catastrophic change and the idea of life and living space and living time appears again in his life. This article is part of a larger work on the psychotic experience concerning the notion of the space and time of the person in relation to transference in an interpersonal context in the analysis of psychosis.
