The invisible. Legal, epistemological, and ethical issues in the age assessment procedure for asylum-seekers
Type de matériel :
23
Young asylum-seekers have to go through an age assessment procedure to prove their minority. While this procedure has important consequences for their future, and is especially difficult, it is mostly invisible and unknown. Based on the Swiss context, this contribution sheds light on the legal, epistemological, and ethical issues at stake and the mechanisms through which age assessment procedures contribute to silencing and delegitimizing the voices of young exiles.
