Collapse of the world: What professional commitment?

Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2020. Sujet(s) : Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : This paper attempts to evaluate the consequences of the awareness of collapse (economic and societal) on emotional states and professional commitment by building an “ad hoc” psychometric measurement scale. The challenge is to understand how this process of awareness generates emotional attitudes (pessimism vs. optimism) leading to differentiated types of commitment (passivity vs. activism) influencing the meaning that the worker finds in their work and determining their commitment to the environmental policies of their employer. Understanding the barriers to, and action levers of, ecological commitment will be a key factor in optimizing organizations’ “sustainable development” policies. Knowing how to measure them should make it possible to adjust these policies to the attitudes and expectations of their employees.
