Since Aeschylus, the prophetess has been doomed never to be heard or believed. Her myth has fascinated people for centuries. The author questions Cassandra’s vision today, as it applies to the present; what the author observes leads her to be confronted by the question of how we can have everything right before our eyes, and yet see nothing.
