Trapped in the rubble following the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010, Noa is admitted to hospital with a “head full of pictures”. He is referred to a psychologist because his “scars hurt” and the first thing he asks for is to be free of these overwhelming images. The anniversary of the earthquake reawakens the whole experience in recurring flashbacks and traumatic dreams. Scrapbooking used as a therapeutic intervention offers a breathing space, a space to play with these images before they can appear in dreams.
