Is the Schumpeterian Entrepreneur Superhuman?

Most Schumpeter observers admit Nietzsche’s influence on the Schumpeterian conception of the entrepreneur. Nevertheless, this influence is often treated in a historical context and within a very limited definition of the entrepreneur. In this paper, it is argued that the entrepreneur could be interpreted from a philosophical perspective. Although Schumpeter did not aim to go that far, an interpretation based on Nietzschean will to power is presented.
