Starting from the nineteenth century, Sulina, a small harbour in the Romanian Danube Delta, fascinates with its central and peripheral characteristics, evolving from a small fishing village into a thriving economic and commercial hub, attracting new settlers from around the world. As Greeks represented the most significant ethnic group, they recreated the world of the Greek islands here, so that the image of Ithaca is often found in Sulina, constantly oscillating between dislocation, rupture, and newly created land. Through a geopoetic approach, the present paper aims to trace the reverberations of the island and the echoes of cosmogony in the poetry of the Greek poet Nana Kountouri (born in 1936), which is scattered with maritime topoi, and to contextualize her poetry within the literary landscape.

À partir du xix e siècle, Sulina fascine par ses caractéristiques centrales et périphériques, évoluant d’un petit village de pêcheurs à un établissement florissant du point de vue économique et commercial, attirant de nouveaux colons du monde entier. Les Grecs étant l’élément ethnique le plus important, ils reconstruisent ici le monde des îles grecques, de sorte que l’on retrouve souvent à Sulina l’image d’Ithaque, qui oscille toujours entre dislocation, rupture et terre nouvellement créée. En utilisant une approche géopoétique, le présent article vise à trouver les réverbérations de l’île et les échos de la cosmogénèse dans les vers d’une poétesse née à Sulina, Nana Kountouri, intensivement parsemés de topos maritimes, et à les replacer dans le paysage littéraire.
