Sibling therapy - where one sibling relationship may hide another

Par : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2024. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : In this article, the author questions her countertransference through the account of the therapy of adult siblings who seemed ambivalent to her in their relationship to the setting. She sees there the manifestation of unconscious alliances, linked to the negative of the family, in particular the paternal siblings. She goes on to bring into question her listening capacity and her countertransference, hampered by the special characteristics of the fraternal care system that she had accepted at the time on request from the patients. The loss of a disabled sister who died in childhood had seriously damaged the brotherly bond that they sought to “repair” by consulting together, thus turning the system into a transitional play area. Following on from the therapy, questions emerged about what could not be thought out in the neogroup, and that the therapist’s bodily experiences had suggested to her.
