La société coréenne, dominée par le néoconfucianisme, demeure officiellement hétéronormative. Les nationalistes et traditionalistes coréens ajoutent que l’altersexualité est une importation étrangère née de la décadence-dégénérescence occidentale. Les chrétiens y voient la main du démon. Pourtant, vers la fin des années 1990, on constate l’émergence de représentations sexuelles non hétéronormées dans le cinéma sud-coréen aidé par un nouveau contexte favorable. Qu’en est-il quinze ans plus tard, au moment où un couple homosexuel de cinéastes défie la société en se mariant ? Nous nous proposons de voir en quoi les nouvelles représentations de l’altersexualité sont subversives dans le contexte de la société sud-coréenne. Il s’agit moins de retracer l’apparition de ces représentations que de rechercher leur niveau de subversion des valeurs dominantes.
