| Summary, etc. | Malgré les évolutions sociétales et des politiques publiques des dernières années réaffirmant les droits des personnes en situation de handicap, la question de la vie affective demeure dans les institutions un sujet sensible et complexe. Générant souffrance au sein des familles, parfois chez les personnes concernées, elle met en difficulté les professionnels qui les accompagnent dans les ime, les foyers de vie, les établissements médicalisés, les esat et les services d’accompagnement à la vie sociale…Comment tenir compte de l’individualité dans un collectif, ouvrir l’écoute au plus intime, analyser les peurs pour ne pas surprotéger ? Comment penser l’inclusion et l’autodétermination, sans donner place à ce droit, ce besoin fondamental reconnu par l’Organisation mondiale de la santé comme partie intégrante de la santé ? Comment développer une culture commune, construire un socle éthique pour accompagner chacun en fonction de ses besoins avec bienveillance et respect ?L’association apei de la région dieppoise a lancé il y a plus de dix ans un projet institutionnel pour prendre en compte et respecter l’intimité, et accompagner la vie affective et sexuelle et la parentalité des personnes en situation de handicap. Elle a fait le choix d’une démarche transversale, explorative et réflexive en trois étapes, impliquant tous les professionnels, offrant des outils, des formations, des espaces pour les personnes accompagnées et d’autres pour les familles. Un projet engageant, structurant, récompensé par plusieurs prix, qui se poursuit, évolue et s’interroge en permanence. |

| Summary, etc. | In spite of the societal evolutions and the evolution of the public policies over recent years, reaffirming the rights of the persons in situations of handicap concerning the question of their affective life remains a sensitive and complex subject for social institutions. Generating suffering within families, sometimes among the persons concerned, this concern creates difficulties for the professionals who accompany them in the medicalised educational centres, living homes, medicalized establishments, sheltered work and social life support services…How should we take into account individuality in a group, listen to the most intimate aspects, analyze fears in order not to overprotect? We can’t think about inclusion and self-determination without giving this right the place it deserves as a fundamental need recognized by the World Health Organization, an integral part of Health. How can we develop a common culture, build an ethical base to accompany each person according to his or her needs with care and respect? More than ten years ago, the apei association of the Dieppe region launched an institutional project to take into account and respect the intimacy and to accompany the affective and sexual life and parenthood of people with disabilities. It has chosen a cross-disciplinary, exploratory and reflective approach in three stages, involving all the professionals, offering tools, training, and spaces for the persons accompanied and others for their families. This is an engaging, structuring project that has been awarded several prizes and that continues, evolves, and is constantly questioned. |
