| Summary, etc. | Este artículo tiene como propósito el estudio de un aspecto esencial de la identidad chiita: la lengua. La reflexión se centra en sus características religiosas, mostrando más precisamente cómo los chiitas se distinguen, desde el punto de vista lingüístico, de sus compatriotas sunitas en Kuwait. Para tal fin, se hace necesario un análisis lexical pensado en el contexto histórico y social propio de las poblaciones chiitas de ese país. Estas características se presentan en tres niveles: lexical, diacrónico y sincrónico. Una investigación de campo permitió la recolección de los datos necesarios al análisis, provenientes de diferentes informantes de diversas categorías sociales. Este estudio sugiere algunas ideas que evidencian la alteridad de una sociedad multicultural como la de Kuwait, a pesar de su aparente homogeneidad. |
