Summary, etc. | Mientras que los fragmentos presocráticos parecen en un principio depreciar la figura desordenada e inmadura del niño, la crítica se centra especialmente en la incapacidad de algunos adultos para comportarse como tales. La infancia es un estado de germinación destinado a ser superado, y no es tanto una privación (de orden, medida, razón) como la promesa de un futuro que el adulto tiene la responsabilidad de alimentar. El crecimiento armónico requiere una educación ajustada a lo que el niño es y puede ser, siendo συμμετρία la causa de ἁρμονίη, de ahí la importancia del juego, que combina la diversión, el respeto a los límites y el dominio de las reglas. El paradigma del niño como κόσμος en formación se pone patas arriba cuando Heráclito (fr. 52) y Empédocles (fr. 100) reflexionan sobre el universo y el acceso a la sabiduría en enigmas con niños jugando. |
