| Summary, etc. | RésuméLe concept d’industrie et son évolution sont analysés, depuis la crise des années 1970, à travers les articles parus dans les Annales (1970-1999). L’exploration qualitative et quantitative de ces 30 ans de géographie dans les Annales apporte un éclairage partiel mais à bien des égards significatif de la situation du champ thématique en France. La réflexion s’oriente sur la place du territoire dans la relation Industrie/Espace au sein de la géographie française et de ses courants. Après avoir précisé les fondements méthodologiques et les questionnements de l’étude, le texte présente les principaux résultats de cette investigation. La spécialité regroupe peu de chercheurs et le nombre d’articles diminue au cours de la période. L’adaptation des contenus aux mutations de l’activité se traduit par le déclin des études sectorielles au profit d’approches plus transversales. Le concept de territoire s’inscrit de fait dans une longue tradition épistémologique qui appréhende l’espace en donnant une place privilégiée aux acteurs. |

| Summary, etc. | The manufacturing industry and its evolution are here analyzed through the articles published in “Les Annales de Géographie” (1970-1999). The qualitative and quantitative exploration of those thirty years of geography in the Annales provides us with a partial, but significant light on how it has been discussed in France. The paper focuses on the place of territory in the Industry-Space relationship in French geography, and its major trends. The main results are discussed after the presentation of the adopted methodology. This very specialization is composed of few researchers, and the number of papers decreases during the period. The article’s content evolve with the industrial change itself, putting into evidence the decline of industrial branch studies to the benefit of more transversal approaches. Actually, the concept of territory takes place in an old epistemological tradition that treats the geographical space in according a great importance to actors |
