| Summary, etc. | Hepatitis B is the most frequently diagnosed infectious disease among non-accompanied minors in France. We describe the experimentation of a system of transcultural mediation in a clinical situation involving a young unaccompanied minor who was particularly upset by the diagnosis. The issue at this point centred on the social meaning of the diagnosis, enabling the coexistence of several systems of representation of the disease so as to mobilise the patient is his care trajectory. The patient’s narrative, rendered possible by the reassuring framework of the mediation, enabled an evaluation of the understanding of the illness and the projections of the caregiver. Considering the illness to be managed not only as a biophysical entity but also as a social illness that needs to be dealt with enables the reinforcement and the adaptation strategies when working among migrants. |

| Summary, etc. | La hepatitis B es la enfermedad infecciosa más frecuentemente diagnosticada entre los menores no acompañados (UMA) en Francia. Describimos la experimentación de un dispositivo de mediación transcultural en una situación clínica que involucra a un joven menor no acompañado especialmente afectado por su diagnóstico. El problema entonces se centra en el significado social dado a este último y permite la emergencia de varios sistemas de representación de la enfermedad para removilizar al paciente en torno a su proyecto de sanación. La narración de la historia del paciente, posible gracias al marco tranquilizador de la mediación, permite tanto evaluar la comprensión de la enfermedad, como también las proyecciones del personal en salud. Considerar la enfermedad a tratar no sólo como un elemento biofísico sino también como una condición social a curar nos permite fortalecer las estrategias de adaptación entre los migrantes. |

| Summary, etc. | L’hépatite B est la maladie infectieuse la plus fréquemment diagnostiquée chez les mineurs non accompagnés (MNA) en France. Nous décrivons l’expérimentation d’un dispositif de médiation transculturelle dans une situation clinique impliquant un jeune MNA particulièrement affecté par son diagnostic. La problématique est alors centrée sur le sens social donné de cette dernière et permet de faire coexister plusieurs systèmes de représentation de la maladie afin de remobiliser le patient autour de son projet de soin. La mise en récit du patient, rendue possible par le cadre rassurant de la médiation, permet à la fois d’évaluer la compréhension de la maladie, mais aussi les projections du soignant. Considérer la maladie à soigner non seulement comme un élément biophysique mais aussi comme une affection sociale à guérir permet de renforcer les stratégies d’adaptation chez les migrants. |
