| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente une modalité innovante de rencontre avec des familles étrangères, en particuliers pakistanaises et indiennes, résidant dans une province italienne et devant élever et soigner un enfant handicapé avec des instruments nouveaux pour leur tradition. Pour entrer en contact avec elles, on a utilisé la visite domiciliaire selon la méthode de Esther Bick (Infant Observation) adaptée à des besoins et des situations spécifiques. Les visites ont été effectuées par une psychothérapeute avec une médiatrice culturelle et on a réservé beaucoup d’attention au contre-transfert du thérapeute : cela permet de construire des liens entre des personnes et des cultures différentes et favorise l’expérimentation réciproque de l’Autre limitant hostilité et tout sentiment de persécution. |

| Summary, etc. | Meeting the OtherThe article provides evidence of a novel way of meeting foreign families, in particular from Pakistan and India, living in an Italian town, coping with a disabled child and having at their disposal new and different instruments from their traditional ones. To come into contact with the families, the home visiting has been made using the method of Infant Observation by Esther Bick, with the necessary adjustments to fit in any specific situation. Home visiting sessions were carried out by a psychotherapist with a cultural mediator. The focus on the observer’s countertransference has helped to build up bonds between different people and cultures and helps mutually feel the Other as less hostile and persecuting. |

| Summary, etc. | Este artículo presenta una modalidad innovadora de encuentros con las familias extranjeras, en particular indias y pakistanís, residentes en una provincia italiana y a cargo de un niño discapacitado. Se habla de innovación con respecto a los métodos utilizados que son nuevos para las tradiciones de estas familias. Para entrar en contacto con ellas, se ha utilizado la consulta a domicilio según el método de Esther Bick ( Infant Observation) adaptado a situaciones y necesidades específicas. Las consultas las efectuó un psicoterapeuta asistido de una mediadora cultural. Una atención particular se prestó a la contra-transferencia del terapeuta. De esta manera se construyen alianzas entre personas y culturas diferentes y se favorece la experimentación recíproca del Otro, limitando la hostilidad y todo sentimiento de persecución. |
